Also delight yourself in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 (World English Bible)
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 (World English Bible)
Introduction
I was reading the book Wild at Heart by John Eldredge one day. As I read, a quote leaped out at me so fervently, it was as though the book formed a hand from the pages and thrust the quote before my eyes as if to say, “Take heed!” This work is a symbolic depiction of the scene from that day.
Questions to Consider
What makes you come alive? (Note: for many, this question does not have an immediate answer. If no answer to this question is on the forefront of your mind, perhaps a better question to ask yourself is, “how will I find out what makes me come alive?”)
Are you experiencing a life that you would characterize as having come alive? If not, why? What keeps you from living your passion?
Call to Action
If no answer to the first question, “what makes you come alive”, comes to mind, what practical steps can you take to become more aware of those things that bring life? Will you take these steps?
If you know what makes you come alive, but are not experiencing it, what is hindering you? Will you take practical steps to live into your purpose and passion?
If you have experienced the joy of “coming alive” how can you encourage others on their journey to experience the same?
Final Thoughts
I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
John 10:10b, (World English Bible)
“Society and the busyness of life often presents the illusion that the pursuit of God will keep us from truly living. However, the reality is, we are most fully alive when we give ourselves to those noble purposes our creator designed for us. So then, what noble purpose beckons you?”
