I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

Introduction
Consider the heart of stone before you and the wounded hand that touches it. At the point of first contact, light touches the heart and it begins to change to a heart of flesh.
Questions to Consider
This work is a snapshot in time. At the moment the snapshot was taken, how long had the hand been touching the heart?
Why is the hand wounded? Who inflicted this wound?
Do you think it is possible to have a partially transformed heart? If so, what would that look like in the real world?
What is the condition of your heart? Is it where you want it to be? If not, how might you seek the Lord for transformation?
Call to Action
In answer to the last question, did you sense you have been living with a transformed heart, at least in part? If so, take a moment to thank God for His healing touch. Consider the great cost He paid to bring about your transformation.
In answer to the last question, did you sense there were things about your heart you would like transformed? Did you think of ways you could seek transformation? If so, when will you follow through with that plan? Will you take it from an abstract idea to practical action?
Final Thoughts
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
2 Cor. 5:17 (World English Bible)
Reflections on the wound written 300 years before crucifixion was invented:
Surely he has borne our sickness,
and carried our suffering;
yet we considered him plagued,
struck by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
and by his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray.
Everyone has turned to his own way;
and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:4-6 (World English Bible)
